Closed petition Devolve the power to allow medicinal use of cannabis to the Scottish Parliament

Closed on

The UK Government controls drugs policy and has no plans to allow the medicinal use of cannabis.

The Scottish Government want to consider reforming laws to allow the medicinal use of cannabis.

This petition calls for the UK Government to give the required power to the Scottish Government.

Many jurisdictions already allow the medical use of cannabis for conditions such as MS, arthritis and others. A cross party group of MPs has also called for the UK to follow suit.
